The purpose of Junior Auxiliary's Family Affair is to assist families with basic needs and services until they are able to become self-sufficient. We assist families with children in hopes of keeping the family intact during difficult times.
Each family is different and the circumstances surrounding each family determine the amount of assistance and length of time the Junior Auxiliary may assist any given family.
The maximum length of time a family can be assisted by the Family Affair program will not exceed two years. Families can receive assistance until children are able to become self-sufficient but not older than 18 years of age.
These families receive assistance in a number of other ways:
The organization provides the children with backpacks, school supplies, school uniforms, as well as emotional support for the families.
The families also receive assistance at the time of holidays and the children receive Christmas gifts from Junior Auxiliary's Angel Tree.
